The Trustees have a goal of implementing projects that help to create “self-sustaining fish populations and a healthy fish community in the Lower Fox River and Green Bay environment.” The fish communities of the Lower Fox River and Green Bay are unbalanced, with an excess of exotic prey species such as carp (Cyprinus carpio) and not enough predator species and native prey. Projects completed in the fishery resource enhancement category benefit fishery resources that were injured by releases of PCBs into the environment.
